Begin with a clear starting point
A transformation plan needs a shared picture of the current position. What is happening today? Where is performance falling short? Which evidence is available, and what remains uncertain? A useful baseline gives the organization a way to tell activity apart from progress.
Make ownership explicit
Translate priorities into workstreams with accountable leads, agreed deliverables and the resources required to act. Decisions, dependencies and responsibilities should be visible to the people doing the work. An ambitious roadmap becomes more useful when each part has a clear owner.
Use reviews to make decisions
A review should do more than collect updates. Compare progress with the intended result, identify constraints and decide what needs to change. The DOSSIER Loop connects implementation, evaluation and review so that learning can shape the next cycle.
Design for continuity
Consider handover and capability building while implementation is underway. Agree who will own the process, maintain the tools and review performance after the engagement. Lasting progress depends on the organization’s ability to continue the work.
Put it into practice
For your next priority, write down the starting point, the accountable owner, the review point and the handover requirement. The gaps will show where the implementation plan needs more work.
